The county comprises seven municipalities. Primary care is the basis of healthcare and an important prerequisite for providing security to the county’s residents.
Healthcare system includes 31 healthcare centers (2024) and three hospitals.
Primary care’s mission is to offer the county’s residents good healthcare with high quality and on equal terms.
At the location there are three local healthcare areas; south, west and north where local collaboration takes place within/between the municipality, primary care and specialist care.
Together we work to create a coherent care chain for the growing patient groups of chronic and multi-ill patients. Local healthcare area Väster has a hospital, five regionally run health centres and a lifestyle medicine provider. The area includes the two municipalities.
We have fun together and here we help each other with the daily work. We have a happy and open climate and we look out for the best interests of each patient. Right now, the focus is on primary care doctors in our area, local healthcare area west. And we want more people to choose a regular service.
With a targeted doctor investment towards our western area, we aim to have a list of 1100 patients for permanently employed doctors in primary care based on the National Board of Health and Welfare’s benchmark. As a workplace, we are solution-focused and we value good teamwork, a responsive and humble approach and a commitment to development.
