➡️About the job

The role is primarily remote, offering flexibility and convenience. However, during the probation period, it follows a hybrid model with 2 days per week in the office, providing a great opportunity to integrate with the team while still enjoying remote work.

We are seeking a Senior Database Developer to join the team in Bucharest, Romania. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain complex PostgreSQL database systems, optimizing performance and ensuring system stability. You will develop database architecture, schemas, and indexing strategies while managing stored procedures, functions, and triggers to handle business logic.
Additionally, you will administer PostgreSQL servers, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery, monitor database health, and troubleshoot performance issues. You will collaborate with developers and system architects to create scalable solutions, maintain documentation, implement data security practices, and mentor junior team members in database best practices.

➡️ Responsibilities

- Database Development: Design and maintain PostgreSQL systems, create schemas, and manage stored procedures.
- Performance: Optimize queries and resolve performance issues.
- Administration & Security: Ensure server availability and implement security practices.
- Collaboration: Work with developers on scalable solutions and mentor the team.
- Documentation: Maintain ER diagrams and schema documentation.

➡️ Requirements

- Experience: 5+ years in PostgreSQL development and administration.
- Design & Optimization: Expertise in schema design and query optimization.
- Admin: Experience in server management, backups, and tuning.
- Monitoring & Security: Skilled in performance troubleshooting and security.
- Development Practices: Knowledge of CI/CD, git, and strong communication.
