🟥 Electric Vehicle Mechanic – The Netherlands

Brains Consulting is looking for experienced Electric Vehicle Mechanics to join one of the largest public transport companies in the Netherlands.

You will work on a modern fleet of electric buses and other company vehicles, helping to keep public transport running safely and efficiently while working with the latest vehicle technologies.

Job Title: Electric Vehicle Mechanic

Location: Various locations throughout the Netherlands (Arnhem / Eindhoven)

Employment: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary: Starting from €20.28 gross per hour (starting ~ €2.800 NET/ month)

➡️ Your Responsibilities

•Perform maintenance and repairs on electric buses and other company vehicles.

•Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.

•Carry out preventive maintenance and safety inspections.

•Troubleshoot electrical systems and components.

•Perform inspections and ensure all vehicles meet safety and quality standards.

•Work closely with experienced colleagues and workshop supervisors.

➡️ Candidate Profile

✅ Mandatory

• Minimum 1 year of experience working on electric vehicles.

• Experience working on electric buses is preferred.

• Experience with trolley buses is a major advantage.

• B1 English level.

• NEN 3140 or NEN-EN 50110 certification.

✅ Mandatory (but can be obtained in the Netherlands)

• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) or willingness to obtain one.

• Category D driving licence is preferred, or willingness to obtain it through the employer.

• VCA Basic certificate is an advantage. If not available, it can be obtained through the company.

➡️ Salary & Benefits

• Starting salary from €20.28 gross per hour. (starting ~ €2.800 NET/ month) + extrahours

• Full-time employment (40 hours per week).

• Excellent employment conditions according to the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Public Transport Technical Staff (CLA OV Techniek).

• Salary increases based on experience and performance.

• Personal one-to-one guidance during onboarding.

• Opportunity to obtain additional certifications and licences.

✅ Bonuses

•After 100 days of service.

•After 6 months of service.

•After 12 months of service.

•Every 6 months after completing the first year.

➡️ Training & Development

Every new mechanic receives personal one-to-one coaching during the first period of employment.

The company also offers:

•Category D driving licence.

•VCA Basic certification.

•Further professional development opportunities.

➡️ Working Schedule

• Monday to Friday.

• Saturdays are always free.

• Sunday shifts may occur after gaining sufficient experience.

• Working hours are scheduled between 04:30 and 17:00.

➡️ Accommodation & Relocation

• Free accommodation – private bedroom in a shared house (shared bathroom and kitchen).

•Company car available for €84 per week (excluding fuel, parking and traffic fines).

•Health insurance available for €38.02 per week (deducted from salary).

✅ Travel Cost Compensation

• up to €200 travel reimbursement for your first journey from your home country to the Netherlands.

The reimbursement is paid after one month of employment upon presentation of valid travel documents.
