Are you a passionate ophthalmologist seeking to advance your career in a supportive and innovative environment? The private clinic in Noord-Holland specializes in a wide range of eye care services, providing personalized and compassionate care to our patients with the latest technology and equipment.

➡️ What You Will Do

As part of a collaborative team of six experienced ophthalmologists, you will specialize in:

- Cataract surgery
- Retinal surgery
- Glaucoma treatment
- General ophthalmology

You’ll be supported by a dedicated staff of orthoptists, optometrists, technical ophthalmic assistants (TOAs), outpatient assistants, junior doctors, and administrative professionals, totaling around 60 team members across two locations.

Enjoy a positive work atmosphere characterized by short communication lines and teamwork, along with access to state-of-the-art facilities, including Class 1, level 1 operating rooms.

➡️ About you

- Completed studies in Ophthalmology

- At least 1 year of work experience

- Have an EU/EEA nationality

- Hold an EU/EEA medical or a specialist diploma

- Master English (or French) in a full professional proficiency level

- Are willing to learn Dutch through an exclusive Language Academy

- Are willing to relocate to the Netherlands in a near future

- Strong organizational skills and perseverance

- A desire for independent work

➡️ Learning dutch language

Since 2017 a language proficiency certification has become mandatory for BIG registration to work in the Netherlands as a doctor or dentist.

To obtain this certificate you need to pass the Dutch language test at B2+ level.

Every candidate receives intensive language training through a Language Academy.

In just six months, you will learn to speak and write Dutch at the required level and be prepared for a new working environment. The language course concludes with a Dutch language test.

The program up to B2+ level in 6 months

You can start learning Dutch online every two months. You will study with a buddy according to the course material, and your progress will be closely monitored by a certified teacher. At this stage, you will be required to invest 2 hours a day of your free time. This is a real investment in yourself and your future.

♦️ The full program is as follows:

• A0 - A2 level: 10-week Online course + A2 exam (study load: 20 hours per week)

• A2 - B1 level: 6-week intensive course in the Netherlands (classes and study load: 40 hours per week)

• B1 - B2+ level: 7-week intensive course + exam preparation in the Netherlands (classes and study load: 40 hours per week)

✅ Relocate to the Netherlands

After obtaining the A1 Certificate, you will be invited to relocate the Netherlands for a nearly 4-month in-house intensive language training.

At this point, you will need to be full-time available. It will require you to attend lessons for 4 days a week, for 4 hours per day, and do approximately 4 hours of homework per day.

During the language course we will provide you with accommodation at guest family houses, apartments or vacation park lodges. recommended.

If this program doesn’t fully suit your needs, we have a great alternative for you! We also offer a fully online program, perfect for those who need more flexibility in their schedule. This program typically takes about 12 months.
