➡️ About you

You:

- Hold an EU/EEA medical diploma and specialist diploma

- Have EU/EEA nationality

- Have full professional proficiency in English (or French)

- Are willing to learn Dutch through an exclusive Language Academy

- Are willing to relocate to the Netherlands in the near future

- Have strong organizational skills and perseverance

➡️ Registration of Doctors in the BIG Register

The medical title is protected in the Netherlands. It may only be used by doctors who are registered in the BIG Register (Individual Healthcare Professions Act).

As a doctor, you must be registered in the BIG register before you can work in a clinic or hospital in the Netherlands.
The BIG register includes all healthcare professionals working in the Netherlands.

➡️ Learning the Dutch Language

Since 2017, language proficiency certification has become mandatory for BIG registration in order to work in the Netherlands as a doctor or dentist.

To obtain this certificate, you must pass a Dutch language exam at B2+ level.

Each candidate receives intensive language training through a Language Academy.

Within six months, you will learn to speak and write Dutch at the required level and prepare for your new working environment.

The course concludes with an official Dutch language exam.

✅ The Program – B2+ Level in 6 Months

You can start learning Dutch online every two months.
You will study with a learning partner (buddy) according to the course materials, and your progress will be monitored by a certified teacher.

At this stage, you will need to dedicate approximately 2 hours per day of your free time.
This is an important investment in your professional future.

Full Program Structure

• A0 – A2 level

10-week online course + A2 exam
Study load: 20 hours/week

• A2 – B1 level

6-week intensive course in the Netherlands
Study load: 40 hours/week

• B1 – B2+ level

7-week intensive course + exam preparation in the Netherlands
Study load: 40 hours/week

✅ Relocation to the Netherlands

After obtaining the A1 certificate, you will be invited to relocate to the Netherlands for approximately 4 months of intensive in-house language training.

At this stage, you must be available full-time.

The program includes:
- 4 days per week of classes
- 4 hours of lessons per day
- Approximately 4 hours of homework daily

✅ Accommodation

During the language course, we will provide accommodation in:
guest family houses
apartments
vacation park lodges

Prefer an Online Option❓

If this program does not fully suit your needs, we also offer a fully online training program, ideal for those who need more flexibility.

The online program typically takes about 12 months.

Specialist doctors can work in the Netherlands either as employees or in private practice.

✅ For employed doctors

Gross monthly salary: €7,000 – €14,000
Estimated net income: €5,000 – €9,000/month (depending on experience)
Working hours: 36 hours/week
30 paid vacation days
30% tax ruling benefit

✅ For private practice (self-employed)

Annual gross income: €120,000 – €200,000
Flexible full-time schedule (10 half-days per week)
