🟥 SPECIALIST DOCTOR  IN PULMONOLOGY - Denmark

➡️ Position prospect approx. an hour from Copenhagen.

➡️ The position includes a Danish language course in Denmark after relocation.

♦️ WHERE:

You will work at the Internal Medicine Department as a Pulmonology Specialist at an internationally renowned hospital, where you will also enjoy the support of your new colleagues in integration.

As a staff specialist in Denmark, your main priority will be diagnosing and treating your patients, but you will have the opportunity to do so much more! You will have the possibility to take part in training resident doctors, in various research projects, you will have the opportunity to attend conferences or trainings, and you will receive every support to not only excel on a professional, but on a personal level as well.

♦️ The Respiratory Medicine Section handles non- invasive pulmonology with a high flow of patients. They have almost 30 beds in the wards and an out- patient department. There are 5 pulmonology specialist doctors working there with a mixed patient group, they treat approx. 4,300 patients per year, and the average length of a stay is 4,5 days.
They treat general pulmonary cases, such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, empyema, body box measurements, tests for asthma, spot tests, NO- measurements, bronchoscopy, transcutaneous CO2 measurement. They also have non-invasive ventilation, percutaneous CO2 measurement, mobile ultrasound equipment and use pleural drainage, Additionally, the section includes an outpatient nursing service that provides home-based treatment for patients requiring oxygen and NIV. They also manage the treatment of TB patients.

♦️ABOUT YOU:

•    University degree in an EU country + EU citizenship   • Specialized in Pulmunology
•       Experience in pulmonary medicine or specialization in respiratory medicine

- with 5+ years of expeirence. It’s important that the job involves internal medicine tasks as well.
•       Experienced and interested in working with internal medicine
•       Motivated for living and working abroad
•       Able to take part in an intensive language course in Danish
•       Proficient in spoken and written English

♦️WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

- Permanent contract

- € 120,000 minimum yearly salary (including pension benefits; duties are paid on top of this salary)

- 37 hour working weeks
- 6 weeks paid holiday

- A monthly approx. € 200 relocation allowance

- A free, intensive language course after your arrival to Denmark

- Thorough introduction to the department, hospital, language, and culture, and training on the Danish healthcare system and legislation

- Relocation assistance – the region will help you arranging moving, housing search, child care and networking and potentially provide financial relocation assistance too

- Spouse employment assistance – the region will give a helping hand in networking (“Spouse Care Programme”)
