Purpose of the job:

• Optimization and development of the IP / MPLS network

Responsibilities:

1. Optimization and development of the IP / MPLS network

• Develop and setup technical solutions for the IP services provided by the Company;
• Managing and monitoring the operating parameters of the IP / MPLS network in terms of availability, service, hardware resources, analyze the use of backbone links, upstream and peering;
• Level 2 technical support: specific activities of Incident Management;
• Participate to the investigations for networking platforms in order to identify the nature and the severity of the technical problems and take specific actions to correct problems, interaction and coordination with other departments or entities part of the process (Field Operations, Project Management, partners)
• Level 2 support for provisionning processes: analyzes clients solutions (LLDs) and performs the provisioning (configuration and activation) of business and wholesale IP services.

2. Network/Product development

• Participation in mixed teams working on projects for Network Development and Product / Service Development
• Testing equipment / platforms / applications, interact with suppliers of equipment / platforms / applications for troubleshooting/incidents and as well for design issues;
• Participate in international projects under the direct manager/CTO supervision;
• Participate to workshops and presentations organised by vendors;
• Presales support for sales team in case of new services provided by the company, or for complex/exceptional circumstances related to incidents on existing service;

3. Operational and administrative responsibilities:

• Fulfill activities regarding the implementation and functioning of SMI in the organization;
• Respect the requirements of the SMI documentation: the Manual of Quality and Environment Integrated Management, system procedures, work procedures, specific environment procedures;
• Is responsible, materially and disciplinary for the accuracy and compliance with the law for all signed or prepared reports/documents;
• Is responsible for knowing and respecting the Internal Regulation, internal procedures and operational instructions;
• Respect the rules for work safety and security

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Polytechnic, Telecommunication, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline;
• At least 2 years in a similar position
• Advanced knowledge of technologies Ethernet / IP access;
• Layer2 Ethernet Switching : VLAN, STP, QinQ, LACP, other protocols Layer2;
• Layer 3 IP routing Proficiency: BGP , IS -IS , OSPF , IP – VPN;
• Knowledge in MPLS : LSPs , Tunnels MPLS , MPLS - TE , MPLS L2 & L3 VPN;
• Knowledge in operating configuration and DNS, mail server, TACACS, DHCP server, Cacti/MRTG
• Knowledge in routing platform operation / switching Cisco and Juniper, including IOS / JUNOS
• Basic knowledge in other networking technologies : SDH/PDH, Wireless, CWDM/DWDM;
• Cisco CCNP/CCIE Certification (optional , is an advantage);
• Juniper Certification (optional, is an advantage);
• Certified Linux administration (optional, is an advantage);
• Good command of the English language (speaking and writing);

Salary: 1-700 – 2.300 EURO net/ month (according to seniority level)

2. Have you worked with Ethernet/IP access technologies? Could you give me an example of a project you worked on in this area?( role, responsibilities, limitations)
3. How familiar are you with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, such as VLAN, STP, QinQ, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, and IP-VPN?
4. Have you worked with IP/MPLS backbone networks? Can you give me an example of your operational role with these?
5. Have you worked with routing and switching platforms from Cisco and Juniper? Can you tell me about your experience with IOS/JUNOS?
6. Can you describe a time when you had to troubleshoot and resolve a technical problem related to networking platforms? Hoe many tickets was assigned to you per day?
7. Can you provide an example of activities related to configuration that you performed on IP equpments?(
8. Do you have a IP network certification CISCO, JUNIPER or other related certificates?
