🟥 Specialist Doctor in PATHOLOGY - Denmark

➡️ The position includes a Danish language course in Denmark after relocation

♦️ WORKING AS A STAFF SPECIALIST
As either a consultant or a unit specialist in Denmark, your main priority will be diagnosing and treating your patients, but you will have the opportunity to do so much more! ♦️ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Pathology Department Hospital is a collaborative workplace focused on professional growth, research, and high-quality patient care. The department employs around 180 staff—including 25 specialists, 12 trainee doctors, and 10 molecular biologists—supported by further colleagues.
Clinical work is organized into specialized teams, allowing professionals to focus on areas such as gastropathology, breast pathology, skin pathology, lung pathology, hematopathology, and ENT/oral pathology.
ENT/Oral Pathology: This specialty handles diverse head, neck, and salivary diagnoses. The team includes one full-time specialist and several consultants, promoting collaboration and training opportunities.
Skin Pathology: Focusing on a wide range of skin conditions, this team collaborates closely with Plastic Surgery, Breast Surgery, and Dermatology, providing fast diagnostics for cancer and frozen samples.
Breast Pathology: Denmark’s second-largest breast cancer diagnostic center, working with multidisciplinary teams in radiology, surgery, and oncology to advance breast cancer care through clinical excellence and research.
Lung pathology: Lung cancer workflows are a focus area in the Region. Collaboration with other specialist areas.
Gastropathology: A large and well-functioning team that works with reception and excision in addition to microscopy of both the upper and lower GI tract as well as the liver and pancreas.
♦️ APPLY NOW IF YOU ARE:
- Specialized in Pathology (Anatomical Pathology and Cytology)
- Ideally with a special interest in areas like gastrointestinal pathology, skin pathology, ENT (ear-nose-throat), mamma pathology, or lung pathology.
- Open to working in a highly professional, team- based environment
- Motivated to make a difference in patient care and the field.
- Proficient in English (both spoken a and written) and interested in living and working in Denm.
♦️ WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
- Permanent contract
- € 120,000 minimum yearly salary (including pension benefits; duties are paid on top) as a full- time specialist after you have passed the Danish tests
- 37 hour working weeks
- 6 weeks paid holiday
- A free, intensive language course after your arrival in Denmark to prepare you for the Danish test
- Thorough introduction to the department, hospital, language, and culture
Relocation assistance – the hospital will help you arranging moving, housing search, child care and networking and potentially provide financial relocation assistance too
- Spouse employment assistance – the hospital will give a helping hand in networking.
♦️ WE EXPECT YOU TO:
- Be a medical specialist in Anatomical Pathology and Cytology with a focus in areas such as gastrointestinal, skin, lung, ENT, or breast pathology. However, we welcome other areas of interest and are open to providing opportunities to develop these.
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in our team- based environment. Initiative, decisiveness, and reliability in your daily practice are key qualities we value.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and well- organized workplace that supports professional growth, as the department continues to expand and improve its services and work environment.
