➡️ Location:

University Hospital n the Southern part of Sweden

➡️ Qualification required: Specialist in Nuclear Medicine within EU.

➡️ Requirements for education

Specialist exam in Nuclear Medicine-PET/CT from within EU or recognized speciality plus minimum 3 years’ experience as a specialist in any EU-country.

➡️ Required experience

Clinical experience of PET/CT and SPECT-CT, which means being able to supervise the performance of examinations, interpret results and write responses. The examinations include skeletal scintigraphy, thyroid scintigraphy, brain scintigraphy and General Oncology. In addition, knowledge of cardiac scintigraphy with SPECT-CT and PET/CT is required. This requires experience in interpreting whole-body CT.

➡️ Competencies and skills required for the position

Committed and experienced Nuclear Medicine specialist with a strong interest in advancing the business, preferably in combination with an ongoing research career. The specialist is expected to be able to drive and develop the PET/CT business, which will expand with PET/CT for cardiac examinations in 2025.

➡️ Personal qualities required for the position

Great importance is placed on collaboration within teams consisting of different professional groups and strong communication skills.

➡️ Other requirements

Research interest required. Preferably published in Nuclear Medicine-PET/CT subject. Also interested in training and supervising students and ST doctors (specialist registrar). The clinic accepts ST assistant doctors from the region for training in nuclear medicine and medical students during lab placement.

➡️ Starting salary for staff with Swedish legitimation

- 80-85.000 SEK./ month
Prospects for the future: the average salary for specialist doctors in Sweden is between 80- 90.000 SEK. The more year one has as a specialist, the higher salary one receives. A consultant doctor can earn even up to 110.000 SEK.

As soon as possible by agreement after completing approved language training.

➡️ Description of the goal of activity

The University Hospital has a Department of Nuclear Medicine diagnostics in the Southern part of Sweden. As a Nuclear Medicine specialist at the University Hospital’s Physiology Clinic, you will collaborate closely with the Radiology Clinic for PET/CT in Oncology and with the university for research and method development. The clinic has 3 SEPT-CT and collaborates on the PET/CT system that is located within the Radiology Clinic.

We are now strengthening our capacity with a new PET/CT scanner that is expected to be in operation by the end of 2025. With the new system, we will further develop cardiac diagnostics, PET/CT brain and inflammation diagnostics. There is a great need for research and development of new radiopharmaceuticals and diagnostic methods in close collaboration with universities and centres for visualization.

• During the personal visit which is part of the interview process, the cost of travel and accommodation are financed by the Partners

• Free Swedish course from A1 to C1 level. Between A1 and B2 online and B2 – C1 in the workplace in combination with work. The candidates will study each afternoon after work. Financial support during the course up to B2 (the amount is topic of negotiation)

.• Free language education for family members – to B2 level for spouses and school-age children is obligatory.

• Help with the application for Swedish license to practice, supervision of the process

.• Free Swedish legal and social training which consists of 40 lessons.• Integration assistance (assistance in registering at tax authority, opening bank account, etc.)

.• Assistance in finding school/kindergarten for the children.• Assistance in the organization of moving and in apartment-seeking.• Support for moving: 30.000 SEK for singles and 45.000 SEK for families for furniture transport + 5.000 SEK for travel costs.
