🔴 Where will you work?

•       You will work at the Breast Clinic of a Regional Hospital in , Central Jutland, Denmark. They are looking for a specialist in diagnostic radiology with main expertise in clinical mammography, breast MRI and screening mammography.
•       The Breast Clinic emphasizes close collaboration, integrating interdisciplinary radiology and mammary surgery sections for efficient patient pathways. A dedicated mammary coordinator organizes cancer screening processes. The role involves imaging diagnostics (clinical mammograms, MRI, and interventions) and organizing MDT conferences.

- Currently, the team includes 6 radiologists, with plans to expand to 8.

-   The clinic offers excellent research opportunities in the long run with a large patient base and flexible work arrangements, such as long days with compensatory time off. There’s also the option to stay connected to general radiology tasks if desired.

Further about the department and the hospital:
•       Starting 1 September 2024, the radiology units at Regionshospitalet Silkeborg and Regionshospitalet Viborg merged into one of Denmark's largest radiological departments outside a university hospital, with functions in Viborg, Silkeborg, and Skive.
•       Akuthospitalet Viborg serves as the emergency hospital for 241,000 residents of Viborg, Silkeborg, and Skive municipalities. The department’s main section in Viborg handles 24/7 emergency radiology, specialized exams, and treatments including MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and interventions. The Breast Clinic in Viborg specializes in mammary radiology and perioperative procedures, collaborating closely with mammary surgery, pathology, and oncology.
•       Cancer and elective investigations are performed in Viborg, Skive, and in collaboration with the Silkeborg Diagnostic Centre. All radiologists are based in Viborg. The department is fully digitized and paperless, with integrated systems like Midt-EPJ.
•       The department supports a wide range of specialties including traumatology, surgery, orthopaedics, vascular surgery, paediatrics, neurology, and more. In 2022, it conducted 197,000 procedures, encompassing X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and interventions.
•       Hospitalsenhed Midt (comprising of Viborg, Silkeborg, Hammel, Skive) is a dynamic hospital unit with around 4,200 employees and an annual budget of DKK 2.4 billion.
•       Comprising four regional hospitals, Hospitalsenhed Midt boasts a strong professional profile and is one of Jutland's most comprehensive specialized hospital units due to its wide range of specialties and complexity.
